You might have been suffering from the withdrawal syndrome, trying to steer clear from cigarettes and doing the best you can to quit smoking. Although you may have tried a ton of different ways to apprehend the need for smoking, you just couldn’t succeed.
There are a ton of quitting techniques, studies have shown that 31% have tried nicotine patches and chewing gum; 42% tried nicotine sprays; 30% zyban medication and 5% tried cold turkey. But only 5% of those who’ve tired these methods are still smoke free after 12 months.

The fourth reason is that you get to try different flavors when you vape. As smokers are accustomed to the taste of “their” cigarette, now when they try vaping there are a variety of flavors they could choose from.

To smokers, traditional cigarettes are an outlet to relieve stress, and because you basically perform the same actions in vaping, you don’t have to worry about how to relieve your stress.
Linda Bauld, Professor of Health Policy at the University of Stirling believes that “e-cigarettes have huge potential to save lives by providing an alternative to smoking. Ye this can only be realized if we addressed the negative harm perceptions and communicate honestly with the public.”
Trying to quit smoking is seriously hard, it’s an emotional and psychological journey that smokers go through. If we show them support, acknowledge and be open to the different techniques that could curb smoking and if we increase awareness of the alternatives, then they could feel that they are not alone in their battles, that we are fighting alongside them!
